Who and what this notice covers

MassageData is published by SomaData Inc. This notice applies to www.massagedata.com. Browsing its reference pages does not require an account. This site does not accept account credentials, payments, patient records, or learner submissions. Separate websites and any future account services have their own notices.

Reading preferences and search

• Your Paper or Ocean reading choice is saved in this browser so it carries between pages and visits. It is not tied to an account, and the site does not send that saved preference to an analytics service.
• The preference remains until you change it or clear this site’s browser storage. Blocking storage still lets you read the site, but your choice may not persist.
• Search words and selected filters can appear in the page address so you can return to or share a view. Addresses can remain in browser history, shared links, and hosting request records. Use topic names; do not enter names, medical histories, or other private information.

Hosting and technical information

Vercel hosts the site and processes technical information to deliver pages, maintain performance, and protect the service. This can include your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device information, requested addresses, and request timing or errors. A public reference site still generates hosting requests even when it has no account or contact form.

Vercel also provides traffic measurement through its hosting services. Hosting request records are separate from reading preferences saved on your device. Their availability depends on the hosting service and its settings; clearing browser storage does not delete hosting records. Anonymous site analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate visits, which pages readers explore, traffic sources, and selected actions such as clicks on our Sign In link. Plausible is designed to operate without tracking cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not send names, email addresses, account IDs, or private inquiries in our analytics events. Plausible receives limited technical request information to calculate its anonymous reports. See Plausible’s data policy for details. We do not use advertising pixels on these pages.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, navigation, and supported interactions such as on-site searches, outbound links, downloads, and forms. Google Analytics may place first-party measurement cookies and process technical browser and usage information. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, personal profile IDs, or form contents. Search terms may be included in Google's site-search reports, so please use topic words rather than personal or health information when searching.

Google Analytics is optional: it does not load before you opt in. Declining does not limit access to MassageData and does not turn off cookie-free Plausible measurement or essential hosting records. Google advertising storage, advertising user-data collection, and ad personalization remain disabled in our site configuration. We may introduce separately consented advertising features in the future, but they are not enabled here. You can change or withdraw your choice through Analytics choices in the footer. Withdrawal stops further GA4 measurement on this browser; information collected earlier is subject to the applicable retention controls. See Google's privacy policy for more information.

Links to other websites

Source citations and resource links take you to independently operated websites. Those sites receive their own requests and may use cookies, accounts, or analytics under their own privacy notices. A link does not place those services under this notice.

If you contact us

Sending an email shares your email address, message, and any attachments with SomaData and the email services used to deliver it. The published contact mailbox uses Gmail. We have not established a fixed MassageData-specific retention period for correspondence; messages may remain in the mailbox after a question or correction is handled. Clearing this website’s browser storage does not remove an email. Send only the information needed to explain your request.

Donovan Monroe handles requests to access, correct, or delete correspondence and information under his control. Messages can be deleted through the mailbox controls. That does not establish complete deletion from Google backups or other copies retained by the provider beyond those controls. Use the contact address to make a request.

Audience and sensitive information

MassageData is a general reference for the massage profession, students, educators, and interested readers. It is not designed as a service for children under 13 and does not ask visitors for their age or create child accounts. It is not a patient portal or a place to submit personal health information.

Contact details and guidance for privacy questions, corrections, and accessibility reports are on the contact page. This notice’s date identifies the version describing the current public-site behavior.
